Since we are into the situation of the pandemic so there was a strict lockdown and we couldn’t step out of our houses. We in our family decided to be productive in our little ways to ensure that we don’t become lazy. We divided the household chores, everyone made sure they have time for their hobbies and creative fun.

 

One day while cleaning my room. I thought to make something creative out of existing things that I had at home since the situation was so that none of us would go the market. Then, I decided to make something creative out of waste so, that create space in my room and get rid of waste more creatively.

 

I thought of making a few things that would help me redecorate my place. Here in this blog, I will share creative products that can be made by using Old CD’s, Old Newspaper, Waste cloths and bottle.

 

1.OLD UNWANTED CD’s

We have switched to app-based music overdue to handy use of a smartphone. Thus, we all have ample of CD’s that we do not use anymore.

 

Things needed: An old CD, glue, colourful papers, a small candle, and decorative items

2.PEN HOLDER

Procedure

 

Take a CD for back support, as per the measurement of covering semi-circle of the CD, Cut the paper and paste it like a kangaroo’s pouch. Then you can decorate as you want.

 

3.LAMP/DIYA

Procedure

 

Take a CD as your base stick a candle.

 

Then, simply decorate as given in the picture.

 

4.NEWSPAPER

Most of us have newspaper waste in the house. Here are a few products that you can make utilizing old newspapers.

 

Things needed – used newspaper, glue, scissor, watercolours and ruler

 

5.QUILLING FLOWERS

Procedure

 

Take a newspaper, cut it down in form of strips of 3-5 mm.

 

Take those strips, roll it loosely, put some glue at the end, and give it a teardrop shape it.

 

Make 5 of such tear drop sharped coil, paste them, make a flower out of it and paint it with your favourite colour.

6.PAPER ROLL THINGS

  • Take a newspaper and cut strips up to 2-4 cm.

 

  • Roll it around any thin stick and paste it at the end.

 

You can give shape as you want to take the help of any object. Like you can roll it around any bottle to give it circle shape

 

7.WASTE BOTTLES

Since there are used bottle at our home of beverages. Here is a creative way to use the picture.

 

Things Needed- Waste bottle, glue, jute rope and decorative item

 

Procedure

 

  • Take a plastic or glass, wrap jute rope tightly as keep pasting it with help of glue.

 

  • After wrapping it up till the bottleneck, decorate it as you want, one can also use pista shells, tissues, quilling flower, etc.

 

8.WASTE CLOTHS

    Worn tops, saree, kurta are easily available in every household. Here are some utility products that you can make from waste cloths

     

    Things needed- Cloths, Table, Scissor, fabric glue/ stapler, ruler

 

 

9.DOORMAT

Procedure –

 

Cut down the strips of cloth as you did for quilling

 

Turn the table upside down

 

Tie the strips to table in form of checks, ensure you tie it tightly

 

10.CLOTH BAG

Procedure

 

Take a cloth of 30cm by 50cm

 

Divide the side of 50 into two equal parts

 

Stick the sides of 50cms

 

Add strings for handy carrying

 

  • CONCLUSION

 

Due to this household waste gets used at better use. Making all these items enhanced my creative. I hope these tips and procedures would help you make good things out of waste. As I believe Waste is not waste till we waste it.
