Home Baker Tarini Deshpande – Interview

    “There are a lot of home bakers these days. But expertise and quality are the most important things to be addressed and maintained if you want to stand out in this field.” – Tarini Deshpande


    An expert is a person who has made all the mistakes which can be made, in a narrow field. Pune-based home baker Tarini Deshpande is someone who strongly believes in this. She is the owner of the well-known bakery brand Creamy Tricks and started baking two years ago after taking some classes for cooking and baking. 




    Tarini is a German language specialist and was previously working with an insurance company. It was only after childbirth that she seriously considered starting a baking business. Encouragement and regular home baking for family and friends turned her interest into a passion. 



    Out of all the delicious cakes that she has baked till now, Tarini likes the Chocolate Truffle Cake the most and remembers the first cake that she had baked for her daughter’s first birthday. Everybody loved it and slowly she started getting orders for cakes. After that, there was no looking back. 



    Challenges are inevitable in any business and for Tarini, the trickiest project was during the initial stage when one of her regular clients had placed an order for 250 cupcakes. This was her biggest order till then but with her client’s trust, she could complete the order on time. 




    About her experience working with Bulb and Key, Tarini says, “It is an amazing experience. It  is a delivery service which I can completely rely on. Delivery has been a major task in the past but with Bulb and Key, I have found the perfect mediator.

    “My goal for the next five years is to learn a variety of cakes as well as other bakery products and gradually become a baking expert,” says Tarini.
